Recently two of our Yr 7 Animal Club members set up an Animal Club display in our Library. It described some of the things we do in our Animal Club and had a strong focus on Free Range Eggs. Our District Director was even in to have a look at it. |

The West Australian Education Expo was on during our holidays at our Showground so that teachers could attend. There many, many exhibitors, performances and workshops. A display area was allocated to 17 schools to showcase Excellence.
Yuluma was invited to participate to show the Animal Club. It was a wonderful opportunity to spread the word, and I hope other teachers will do this in their schools. |

Each term Yuluma Animal Club students donate some of their lunch money to the Save the Bears organisation, who are doing good work in China.
We have Canteen three times a week and usually we collect about $9 from our kind and caring students. Keaun collects the money each day and on Mondays we tell the school how much we have raised. This term we raised $103 which is brilliant.
Some of the funds raised by Animal Club students for the Save the Bears organisation.

To continue with the theme ‘Year of the Frog’ and to add more merchandise to our animal club stall for next term, Animal Club members this week were involved in the very messy, but extremely fun task of making ‘Froggy’ placemats.
This task involved Animal Club members putting together a collage of colourful frogs, lotus flowers, butterflies, leaves, daisies and sequences, which they glued onto a frog pond that was set on a green landscape.
When the decoration was finished these were mounted onto bright, colourful pieces of card, which will be laminated next week, by animal club leaders, after they have dried.
The final products will then be stored with the beanie frogs, until animal club holds their stall next term. We hope to raise a lot of items for the Animal Protection Society from all of our hard work. |

This week our EcoForce Animal Club invited a lady from Fauna Rescue to our school. She brought some animals along with her which were extra cute. She brought a snake, a blue tounge lizard and a bearded dragon and before that we did a play on earth, wind, fire and water, which had heaps of animals in it. Written by Zoe |
